THE grieving family of a Colne man who died on holiday in Turkey are hoping further tests will reveal the cause of death.

Denby Lee, 48, of Duke Street, went to bed as normal part-way through a fortnight's holiday in the coastal resort of Marmaris and was found dead next morning by his wife, Susan.

An autopsy in Turkey failed to establish the cause of death.

Mr Lee's body was flown back to this country for further tests and results are expected tomorrow or Wednesday.

East Lancashire coroner David Smith is waiting for the test results before deciding whether to hold an inquest.

Mrs Lee said: "He was perfectly fine went he went to bed. The next morning he was dead. The autopsy couldn't find the reason. I'm just hoping they can find out what's happened."

Mr Lee played snooker and pool and was well known in town centre pubs.

He worked for 20 years at Armaboard, now Wardle Storeys, Earby, before joining Colne firm Bell Woven three years ago.

He leaves his wife, son Darren, 25, 22-year-old daughter Sonia, and a grandson, Nathan.

A funeral service will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Thursday.
