TOP TEN QUIZ BOOK by Russell Ash (Published by Dorling Kindersley)

THIS fun book covers 20 everyday subjects along with questions for the reader to attempt to answer and is a great way to learn lots of facts.

It could be used by individuals or teams in school or at home to test your knowledge.

I was very impressed by the quality of the illustrations which were very realistic. The information also proved to be interesting and helpful whilst the quiz questions maintained my interest to the end of the book where the answers can be checked.

I found this an excellent book which I enjoyed very much.

WORLD EXPLORER ATLAS by Martin Oliver, Illustrated by Tim Hutchinson (Published by Dorling Kindersley, £9.99)

MY friend and I enjoyed this book very much and found it very interesting. The book is split into sections which cover continents, then these are sub-divided into regions.

As well as telling you something about world geography, on each page are pictures and information about historical sites in many countries.

The book is probably aimed at readers aged around seven to 12, and has been made more interesting for children by including amusing pictures and things to find on every page.

I thought the most interesting part was the chapter on the United States of America because these were the most challenging pages to find the objects on.

CELEBRATION! Written and illustrated by Barnabas and Anabel Kindersley (Published by Dorling Kindersley, £9.99).

I ENJOYED reading about different religions and learned a lot from this book. Every page has amazing pictures of each celebration to show you what it is like. The authors travelled around the world to take the photographs.

Finding out about other people's celebrations is very interesting because you see what they do on their special occasions.

I discovered that every celebration has its own time of year, like Chinese New Year, which is in February, and that some people celebrate the dead.

This is a fascinating book for young or older readers. And if you are visiting a country at the time of a celebration, you can use the book to find out more about the event before you go.
