IWONDER if Mrs J Lee (Letters, July 16) could inform me of one battle, other than the Boyne, where William III actually won.
Incidentally, according to one of William's supporters, James II and his generals had left the area before the 'battle' had begun.
The same side also seems to indicate that William did not cross the River Boyne until after the area was cleared and he was not in the thick of what little action actually took place - the Battle of the Boyne being described as 'over before it started.'
