CARL Fogarty today hinted at a new mouth-watering career on four wheels when his Superbike days are over.

The Blackburn former world champ is to consider his future with Ducati after the Brands Hatch round of the World Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend.

And a fresh challenge in the British Touring Car championship is just one of the options Foggy is weighing up should he decide not to race Superbikes for one final year.

He has also been linked to the Silverstone-based Jordan Formula One team, which runs Damon Hill and Raif Schumacher.

He was quoted in Motor Cycle News: "I would love to race cars.

"I had a test in a Vauxhall touring car last year which was fun.

"And there has been a lot of talk about me getting to race in the Vauxhall Vectra Challenge this year - but nothing is set yet.

"I have to say though that I reckon my biggest problem would be that if I didn't win straight away I'd leave.

"I couldn't stand being beaten."

Fogarty, as the Lancashire Evening Telegraph revealed on Saturday, is disillusioned with his bike and is set to decide on his plans for 1999.

He added: "I don't know if I will be racing next year.

"It's time now to look at what we will be doing in 1999 and I'll sit down after Brands and decide.

"This could be my last time racing in Britain.

"Last year the bike was worse than this year.

"It took a lot for me to carry on racing in 1998."
