ANIMAL lovers in Lancaster can have a whale of a time for Animal Action Week!

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) has announced their fifth annual Animal Action Week which runs from October 4 which provides an ideal opportunity for everyone to make animal welfare a priority.

Supporting the week will be none other than Rolf Harris together with 'Really Wild Show' presenters Michaela Strachan and Chris Packham.

There are endless ways to participate in the week including taking part in a home wildlife survey, entering an exciting wildlife awareness competition or collecting anti-whaling petition signatures.

Organiser Kathy Chesters, said: "This is a great chance for animal lovers to take positive action.

IFAW's work stretches around the world, helping to rescue, protect and conserve all kinds of deserving animals.
