IF you run a voluntary or community group, then St Helens Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) wants to hear from you.
The CVS is a registered charity which supports and advises the voluntary sector in the St Helens area. It publishes an annual directory containing details of local voluntary and community organisations, together with other useful contacts.
The current edition of the directory has more than 300 entries, but there must be many more groups in the St Helens area, currently unknown to the CVS, which would benefit from being included in the next edition to be published later this year.
Directory entries are free to voluntary and community groups. If you wish to check whether you are included or if your entry is correct, there should be a copy of the 1997-98 directory in each community library in St Helens. Alternatively you can contact Pauline Taylor, the directory compiler, at the CVS on tel. 01744 21755 or fax 01744 603544.
