A HOLIDAYMAKER feared for his life when he was attacked by knife-wielding muggers outside a Portuguese airport.

Glynn Anderton, 27, of Ribchester, was left badly cut and bruised and said he had to sleep in a police cell until the British Consulate opened.

Glynn, of Parsonage Avenue, was attacked as he left Faro airport, which served thousands of British tourists.
