REGARDING your story (LET, July 28) on the surrogate mother having a baby she and its biological parents do not want, how very sad it is for this to have been allowed in the first place.

I am not a fuddy duddy, old-fashioned or narrow minded - quite the reverse. Yet, I believe - and have drummed it into my family - what we can't have, we must do without.

If someone's body is not fertile enough to produce the baby of two people who love each other, then there are other things in life which God takes care of.

Surrogate parenthood is wrong and not nature's way. The human body is now being treated as a money machine and it should not be allowed to continue.
