TWO women have been attacked by the same man in separate incidents in Burnley, police have revealed.

One was indecently assaulted as she waited at a bus stop and the other was punched in the face when getting off a bus.

The first attack happened at 4.45pm on Monday in Colne Road, Burnley, opposite the Queensgate bus depot.

A woman was waiting for a bus when she was approached by a man who grabbed her blouse and ripped it open.

The same man struck again on Wednesday when he and his victim travelled on the same bus from Cliviger into Burnley.

As the woman was getting off the bus in the bus station at 11am he punched her in the face.

The attacker is white, about 50, 5ft 6ins tall with short, blond receding hair.

On both occasions he was wearing glasses and a long beige anorak.

Det Sgt Mark Gray said: "We are appealing for information about this man. Anyone who thinks they know him is asked to contact Burnley CID on 01282-425001.
