A MAN was due to appear before magistrates today charged with attempted murder following an incident on New Year's Eve.
Andrew Clegg, of Woodbury Avenue, Infirmary, has also been charged with causing grievous bodily harm following the incident at his home.
Clegg, 33, was arrested after a woman and an 11-year-old were admitted to Blackburn Royal Infirmary, at 3am on New Year's Eve.
He was due to appear before Blackburn magistrates today.
