TALKS are due to start on whether to introduce permit parking in streets around Ewood Park to cut traffic problems on Blackburn Rovers match days.
Blackburn with Darwen Council's highways and transportation sub-committee is keen to discourage people from travelling by car to the ground following complaints from police, the fire brigade and local residents.
The committee will consider on Thursday whether to start preliminary consultations on a scheme to introduce permit parking on match days on certain streets around the football ground. Streets where residents do not have access to off-street parking will be given special consideration.
