LOCAL employers are more interested in experience and qualifications than which university job applicants went to.
Those who did express a preference said that Manchester was the most respected university followed by Leeds and Edinburgh and then Oxford and Cambridge, according to the survey by business training firm RRC.
A degree in business studies is the least respected by North West firms with law the most highly thought of. And local employers are less impressed with language degrees than in other parts of the country.
