FIRMS in East Lancashire are being warned to be on their guard against bogus advisers cashing in on the confusion over the euro.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants believes small firms in particular are at risk from unqualified advisers.
"Many small businesses are still unfamiliar with the full ramifications of the euro," said David Harvey of the organisation.
"If directors and managers need guidance on the euro and the particular implications for their enterprises they should contact a professionally qualified adviser."
