I FOUND Mr D Crowley's comments (Letters, December 31) in respect of Ron Freethy's error over the Canada geese rather pompous.
To any knowledgeable bird-watcher the mistake was obvious - and forgivable, knowing Mr Freethy's reputation in the nature world.
