I WANT to express our thanks to the people of Blackburn, and in particular the regulars at the Griffin and Bee Hive pubs, in Redlam, who, with the efforts of Carole and David Taylor and David's mother Dorothy, have raised the magnificent sum of £3,600 for our charity.
This provides support to parents who have children born with rare chromosomal abnormalities.
Carole and David's youngest daughter, Rachel, has such a rare disorder, and it is because of this that they have raised the money for Unique.
On behalf of all of the members of the group, and its trustees, a very big thank-you and a happy and prosperous 1999 to the people of Blackburn.
NIGEL BARRETT (Treasurer and Trustee, Unique), Park Lane, Brocton, Stafford.
