BRIDE-to-be Claire Umpleby knew she had found her man even before she met Andrew Cook face-to-face.

She replied to his advert in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Two's Company column but before they had their first date she said: "I knew instantly that he was the right one for me."

They met five months ago and enjoyed a white-knuckle first date on the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Andrew said they have never looked back.

The couple, who currently live in Brierfield, will marry in September on Claire's 32nd birthday. They are soon to leave Lancashire for Cardiff where Andrew will be starting work as a security guard.

Their white wedding will be in a church in Wales.

Andrew, 28, who had three children from a previous marriage, said: "I placed the advert and Claire answered my voice mail.

"We arranged to meet up about two weeks later and we got on so well.

"I never thought I would find someone like Claire when I placed the advert. I just thought I would make a few new friends, so I am very happy."

Claire, from Clitheroe, had placed adverts previously in Two's Company before but never met the right person.

She was delighted when she found Andrew and is looking forward to starting their new life together in Wales.
