PRINCESS Diana was to visit Nelson and see a two-up two-down terrace which had been converted into a resource centre for old folk in 1989, Buckingham Palace announced.
The visit was in her role as patron of Help the Aged, and she would also visit other East Lancashire towns.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
