A CREDIT union for Lancashire union members is about to launched.
The GMB union - the biggest in the county - is setting up the community bank for its members in the county.
More than 2,000 workers have already registered an interest in joining the union which will offer cheap loans and competitive savings rates.
A launch for the credit union is being held in Blackburn this weekend and GMB officials hope other regions will follow.
Shop stewards will act as salespeople for the new union and it will be open to all GMB members including part time workers and their families.
