THE people of East Lancashire are being urged to get involved in the country's biggest clean-up.
Anti-litter charity the Tidy Britain Group has launched this year's National Spring Clean campaign - which aims to get as many people as possible clearing litter from the streets.
The group's director for the North West, David Smith, said: "Last year many people in Lancashire played a major part in cleaning up their county. This year I firmly believe even more will take up the challenge.
"National Spring Clean is a wonderful campaign because it's something everyone can get involved with and everyone should have an interest in."
Ring the Spring Clean hotline on 0870 241 2441 for a free clean-up kit, which includes everything needed to organise a litterpick.
This year, youngsters who join the campaign can enter a competition to win a tour of Granada studios in Manchester.
