I READ with dismay of the imminent closure of the Polish Ex-Servicemen's Club in Blackburn, due to shortage of finance.
However, I am sure Blackburn with Darwen Town Council will uphold their fine record of helping ethnic and minority immigrant groups and come to the Poles' financial assistance.
The Poles, who have always been a credit to the community, were second to none in valour during the war and I think the council will welcome the chance to help those who helped us in our hour of need.
