TWO men were due to appear before Preston Crown Court today charged with the murder of part-time doorman Ray Hampson.
Steven Taylor, 24, of Aitken Street, and Brandon William Thomas Hayhurst, 23, of Whalley Road, both Accrington, are accused of killing the 39-year-old father-of-seven.
Mr Hampson, of Slaidburn Drive, Accrington, was found near the Bees Knees pub, Accrington, with serious head injuries on December 13, 1997. He later died in Blackburn Royal Infirmary. The trial is expected to last two weeks,
