THE NHS has been subject to much recent criticism by the media both locally and nationally, some of which, no doubt, has been justified.
However, I would like to in some small way redress the balance in praising Queen's Park Hospital in Blackburn, in particular, the ESMI unit L2.
My father recently and tragically died there and I cannot speak highly enough of the care he received during a long and distressing illness.
I, too, received their support during his time in hospital and help in coming to terms with his death.
Let us see some praise for the hospital and for its caring staff who, at times, acted far beyond their duties.
