BACUP Borough's exciting teenage star Nicky Taylor is set to start training with Wigan Athletic.
Borough boss Brent Peters is close to granting the Nationwide League outfit permission to take a look at the talented 17-year-old, although he will continue to play on matchdays for the West View club.
"I've spoken to Brendan O'Connell and we have come to an amicable agreement that Nicky may be able to go to Wigan with a view to training with them," said Peters.
Taylor first hit the headlines last season when he made his North Western Trains League debut at the age of 16 with Rossendale United. He has attracted the attention of several league clubs this season although Wigan are the first to make a serious move.
