DRIVERS at Ribble Stagecoach organised a third round of industrial action across the area today.
The drivers have been protesting over pay and have already staged two one day strikes over the last month.
During the first day of stoppages driver Frank Dean of Town Walk, Blackburn was killed on a picket line. Mr Dean was crushed by a bus and a full scale police inquiry was launched in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Services in all the main towns in East Lancashire were badly affected by today's stoppages but Pendle and Burnley were hardest hit.
Bosses at the bus company managed to organise a skeleton service.
