A BAG snatcher ran up behind two women walking in the grounds of Burnley General Hospital and used a knife to slash the strap of a handbag.
The incident happened at 7.50pm yesterday and the thief escaped with a black leather bag contained £15 cash and bank cards.
He is described as being 5ft 8ins tall and wearing a baseball cap.
