FORMER Burnley chairman Frank Teasdale is to consider his future role at the club in the light of a boardroom re-shuffle at Turf Moor.
Teasdale was replaced as chairman by major shareholder Barry Kilby at the Clarets' AGM at the turn of the year.
He remains a director and is the third largest individual shareholder in the club.
But with Ray Ingleby - a critic of Teasdale during Ingleby's unsuccessful battle to take control of the club - due to join the board and other new faces set to follow him, Teasdale is not certain to stay on.
"I can't discuss that until I know what the structure of the board would be.
"The answer to that is I don't know," he said.
Of the current board, Clive Holt is certain to have a role to play and will be looking to increase his shareholding when unclaimed shares become available after the closure of the rights issue next week.
And Bob Blakeborough also wants to stay on, with the possibility of a further investment in the club.
"I would hope to be involved," he said. "If we have got shares available I will have a look at my position."
Ingleby's introduction to the board to work with Kilby will be seen by many fans as the dream ticket for the Clarets.
"The most important thing is that everybody does their best for Burnley FC, from the chairman to the youngest fan. If everybody gets behind the club we can go places," added Blakeborough. "What we really need is to encourage the big players (investors) who are around that would like to get involved in the club to get in touch. The door is open."
Mark Ford returns to action tonight when the Clarets' reserves visit West Bromwich Albion in the Pontins League First Division (kick-off 7.00) - provided the venue at Halesowen FC passed an afternoon inspection.
Ford missed Saturday's defeat by Chesterfield through suspension but the midfielder could be in line for a re-call to the squad for this weekend's trip to Millwall.
Others pressing to be involved at the New Den who will be given a run-out tonight are Chris Brass, Neil Moore, Brad Maylett and Phil Eastwood.
Chris Scott is likely to play his last game tonight before serving a one-match ban picked up for eight bookings this season.
Winger Graham Branch is Stan Ternent's only fitness worry ahead of the Millwall game.
The recent signing was below full fitness against Chesterfield and his chest infection has dogged him into this week and finally forced him out of training for a couple of days.
"I won't know about him til late on. We have to get that cleared up," confirmed Ternent.
Burnley are facing two Sunday fixtures in the space of a fortnight after moving their home game against Macclesfield back nearly 24 hours to March 28, kick-off 1pm.
The Clarets, who play Preston in a televised Sunday game on March 14, have made the switch because ITV are showing live England's European Championship qualifier against Poland at 3pm on March 27.
Michael Williams should finally get his chance to try and secure a move to First Division Oxford United tonight.
Williams has been a victim of the weather as the two reserve games he has been scheduled to play during his trial spell at the Manor Ground have been postponed.
But the transfer-listed Burnley midfielder has been pencilled in for Oxford's re-arranged reserve game against Chelsea at Kingstonian FC tonight.
Meanwhile Burnley are likely to come up against an old favourite when they entertain Luton Town in their next home game on February 6.
Gerry Harrison, who left the Clarets under the Bosman ruling last summer, has joined the Hatters on loan from Sunderland.
The Clarets' board are to meet representatives from Burnley's various supporters' clubs for a second forum on Tuesday, February 9 at 8pm in the Turf Moor Leisure Centre. Club secretaries should contact Alison Lofthouse to sort out attendance and agenda points should be submitted by Friday, February 5.
