IN association with my colleague Dr Nigel Hunt and Professor Peter Coleman, of the University of Southampton, I am conducting research into the long-term effects of World War Two experiences on British civilians.
A great deal has been written concerning the consequences of traumatic events experienced by our armed forces during the Second World War. However, although civilians played a crucial and unique role in the war, the emotional repercussions of their contribution has been largely neglected.
If any readers feel that they can contribute to this research, we would be most grateful for their assistance. Full confidentiality will be observed at all times and any information provided will only be used in respect of the present study. Please write to me or call 01785 601532.
