POLICE investigating the discovery of a man's body washed up on the banks of the River Ribble near Preston marina yesterday are appealing information to help identify him.
He is white, between 40 and 50, 5ft 9ins tall , of medium build with a beard, moustache and dark, collar-length hair receding at the front. He was wearing a cream-coloured anorak, maroon sweatshirt, blue jeans and white trainers.
Police believe the body was in the water for one or two days and are not treating the death as suspicious. Contact Preston Police on 01772 203203.
