THE council tax for the next financial year will be set on March 8.
Can I urge those who want the two old people's homes and the special schools facing closure by Blackburn with Darwen Council, Mr P Newton (Letters, January 14) and other council tenants who want their houses improved, to write to their ward councillors and insist that the tax be increased by a further £50 to cover the costs.
I apologise to the councillors for the inconvenience of the sacks full of mail they will receive.
