CLITHEROE'S civic cinema might benefit from advertising in your paper.
For after reading about the cinema (LET, January 6), my husband and I decided to discover what film was showing, with a view to going along one evening.
After phoning the cinema on numerous occasions for two days and getting no reply, I rang the tourist information office in Clitheroe.
The lady there gave me the title of the film and explained that they did in fact advertise - in the Clitheroe Advertiser.
It seems to me that they need to cast their net far wider in the search for audiences.
Diversification is all very well, but if the general public do not see a cinema advertised, they won't all make the effort to ring around for information.
