GRIMEWATCH winners will be presented with their awards by world-famous botanist and "jolly green giant" Dr David Bellamy.
Dr Bellamy will be guest of honour at the Grimewatch Awards ceremony on March 23 at St Christopher's CE High School, Accrington.
Dr Bellamy has backed Grimewatch since its launch 10 years ago.
He was on the first-ever judging panel and a special award was presented in his name that first year.
Lancashire Evening Telegraph Editor Peter Butterfield, who devised the Grimewatch campaign, said he was delighted that Dr Bellamy had agreed to present the Grimewatch awards in the competition's 10th anniversary year.
Dr Bellamy's career has spanned more than 35 years, first as an academic and then as a writer and broadcaster and environmental campaigner. He was awarded the OBE in 1994.
