A NEW Army preparation course launched at Blackburn College has already signed up its first recruits.
Students on the course, which begins on February 1, will spend three days of each week at college studying catering, motor vehicles and information technology and two with the army working on physical fitness, team leadership and initiative tests.
Each student who successfully completes the course will be offered employment in the Army and further training for at least three years while those who change their minds can continue studying.
