POLICE have issued a stern warning about the dangers of designer drugs after a 21-year-old woman was left unconscious and lucky to be alive.
The woman, who has recovered, drank from a miniature spirits bottle which contained the drug GBH or GHB and alcohol at the weekend.
PC Alan Fishwick of Chorley police, said: "The current trend is for club goers to take the drug with them in miniature bottles and share it out, but anyone who takes the drug can put themselves in danger from the after effects
"There have been cases where people are unconscious for days and it can be fatal."
A 24-year-old man from Heath Charnock was arrested on a charge of assault and administering a noxious substance.
