RESIDENTS in two of the borough's poorest areas are being invited to back a bid for government funds.
People in Huncoat and Netherton, Great Harwood, will be asked for their views on Hyndburn Council's application for single regeneration budget money at two meetings.
The bid has already cleared the first hurdle and a formal application must be lodged by the end of April.
The cash would fund projects to improve community health and education and crime-fighting measures such as CCTV.
The first meeting will be held at St Augustine's church, Bolton Avenue, Huncoat, on February 3, starting at 5pm.
The second is at the reading room at Great Harwood Library, on February 10, starting at 7.15pm.
Anyone who would like more information about the meetings can call Mark Hopley on 01254 380156.
