ANIMAL lover Josephine Robinson is warning other pet owners to be on their guard after her cat was poisoned.
She has sent letters to neighbours in Rudyard Drive, Darwen, urging them to check their gardens for anything toxic such as weedkiller and slug pellets to prevent further incidents.
"Both our cats, Blue and Gingers, were affected at the weekend and sadly Blue died as a result," said Josephine, who lives with her partner John Kendall.
"I would hate for somebody else to lose a loved family pet or for a child to come into contact with the poisonous substance."
