GRIME-BUSTER Joe Fielding had sparkling success at the Tidy Britain silver broom awards at Ewood Park.
The 55-year-old council sweeper, who cleans the Brookhouse area of Blackburn, was named runner-up in the North West and presented with an engraved trophy and certificate by Blackburn Rovers chief executive John Williams.
Burnley pensioner Harry Beckett, of Gerald Court, won a prestigious voluntary award but was too poorly to attend the ceremony.
