A MAN walked down a Darwen street in the snow wearing nothing but a vest and a pair of socks, a court heard.
And Blackburn magistrates were told that Alan Reid, 50, got a frosty reception from people who crossed the road to avoid his tea-time display.
Reid, of Perry Street, pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £45 costs.
Emma Keogh, prosecuting, said police had searched the area around Sudell Road after receiving numerous complaints from people about a naked man walking the streets.
Daniel King, defending, said Reid was deeply embarrassed about what had happened. He was having marital problems and the emotional pressure he was under had taken its toll. He had drunk heavily before the incident.
"His only recollection is that it was cold," Mr King added.
