ONCE again, it seems the elderly or disabled are going to suffer - as old folk's homes may be closed and concessionary travel for the disabled may be axed.
They don't need this hassle - they already have their problems. Don't MPs read the newspapers or realise what intimidation these people have to put up with?
Elderly people in their eighties are having to demonstrate on the streets to keep their residential homes open. Whiteacres in Burnley is just one of many - a home for the elderly to spend the rest of their lives in.
Surely, these people have done enough for their country and should be able to look forward to the millennium in contentment.
Our people trusted Labour in voting for them.
So come on, you Labour MPs, read and reply, instead of staying out of sight.
