EUROPEAN cash has been secured to help East Lancashire firms tackle the millennium timebomb.
Through the Lancashire Information Technology Support Centre subsidised help is now available to help firms prepare for the Year 2000 challenge.
A grant of 45 per cent is being offered to companies for consultancy which includes a review of information technology structure with a company. Further sessions are available at a reduced cost.
The funding is also being used to offer companies help with getting on the Internet with web site design.
Five awareness seminars are being staged across East Lancashire at Northern Technologies, Nelson on March 9; Horncliffe Mansions, Rawtenstall on March 23; Ewood Park, Blackburn on April 6; Mytton Fold, Langho on May 4, and The Globe Centre, Accrington.
Further details on the scheme are available from Joanne Kozlowski at the Lancashire Information Technology Support Centre on 0800 0561419.
