MY HUSBAND and son are Rovers season ticket holders, but this season are at an unfair disadvantage with the club selling £10 tickets. And if you lived in Lancaster and receive the Citizen newspaper, you could claim free tickets.
My son, who is 10, came home from school with a leaflet for the Soccer School at half term, priced at £17 including matchday tickets for the Sheffield Wednesday game - which I think is a fair price if you are not a season ticket holder. When I inquired about a reduction in price as we already have matchday tickets, I was told none was available.
Are the young fans of today not the fans of tomorrow along with their families? What are Rovers doing to keep them?
Also, what is the advantage of having a season ticket?
As far as I can see, season ticket holders are being penalised for supporting the club.
We do sometimes get the chance to buy £10 tickets for a top match, but the season ticket holder does not benefit.
