ACTION girl Katrina Morton raised £370 for the young victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power station disaster.
She travelled from her home at Simpson's Farm, Samlesbury, to Lincolnshire for a sponsored parachute jump after spending two days helping to entertain the children when they visited East Lancashire.
Katrina, 18, a textiles student at Blackburn College, became interested in the work of Blackburn-based Friends of Chernobyl's Children when she listened to its organiser, Olwyn Keogh, give a talk to Venture Scouts and Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates.
