IN the UK, more than 300 women a week die from breast cancer - many of them mothers.
That is why, in the run-up to Mother's Day on Sunday, March 14, I am joining forces with the research charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer to encourage readers to organise their own sponsored Mother's Day Crocus Walks, or to join a local walk if there is one in your area.
Breakthrough needs to raise more than £5.5 million a year to support research.
The sponsorship money raised for all the Crocus Walks across the country will really make a difference.
If you would like an information pack or details of local walks, please call 0171 557 6622.
