I FOLLOW the Blackburn Hawks on the Internet as I live in Canada.
They are a terrific team and when I've been in England, I have enjoyed their games immensely. But I do have a few questions as to current developments:
1) Wouldn't the Hawks' management make more money if they actually advertised the team?
2) Wouldn't it make sense to get rid of players who weren't performing to expected standards?
3) Why is it that because Adrian Lomonaco supposedly walked out, all the other imports are being tarred with the same brush?
4) Why is it that last season when the team did so badly, that no sackings and no money problems were advertised?
From the viewpoint of my ice hockey colleagues here in Toronto, they have come to the conclusion that Blackburn Hawks management are trying to wind down ice hockey in Blackburn.
We would be very interested in what they have to say about this.
If this is not the case then we will gladly accept that. But, remember, if fans in Canada suspect that, what do fans in England think?
Please, understand this is not an accusation but an opinion of a group of people.
