A PHONE-in poll on the Jimmy Young programme on Radio 2 in September had 31,000 participants and 91 per cent said 'No' to the single European currency.
Before that, there was the poll carried out by the Sun, in which more than 80 per cent said 'No thanks.' More recently, a Teletext opinion poll asked: "Do you back the single currency?" Out of 8,743 callers, 87 per cent said 'No.'
The British people, not just business representatives, have a right to state their views on this subject and they have - very firmly indeed.
