REGARDING the request (LET, February 1) for people to sell Blackburn Rovers badges for the Macmillan Nurses appeal, my sister and I only wish we could help, but we can't. We do buy all the charity badges, ribbons, flowers, etc and we have thought of a way the appeal could get another boost.
Why not make an away strip badge as well as the home strip? Then, maybe, the £11,000 already collected could be doubled or even trebled.
Newcastle United have both badges. My son who, lives there, sent us two each. So if they can do it, why not us?
The Macmillan Nurses are a unique group who have helped many families, including ours, and we all know how much needs to be done to help their appeal.
We believe our suggestion might be a step in the right direction.
