BREWING and leisure group Whitbread is backing Blackburn!
The firm, which employs more than 700 at its distribution depot at Guide and Samlesbury brewery, has renewed its £5,000 annual sponsorship of the Blackburn Partnership.
The Partnership works with businesses and the public sector to help the local community through a variety of projects.
"We get involved with the community at all levels, from fund-raising in pubs and staff who are volunteer readers in schools to managers taking part in employers' forums," said Ian Anderson OBE, the firm's community investment director.
In addition to its financial support, Whitbread provides the Blackburn partnership with materials and employees take part in a range of its projects including Guardian Angel and School Friends.
