HOUSEHOLDER Ian Mack has literally seen the light since deciding to go green.
He was presented with a commemorative barometer and supply of energy-saving light bulbs for being the first customer of Millenergy.
Millenergy, a consortium of 13 Lancashire councils, aims to reduce pollution from domestic energy by 30 per cent by the year 2010.
The organisation offers free energy-efficiency surveys and energy-saving measures, such as loft insulation, at discounts.
Ian and wife Lynne, of King's Road, Blackburn, received the barometer from Baroness Maddock, the original sponsor of the Government's Home Energy Conservation Act, who was visiting Lancashire to promote the Millenergy scheme.
