A HIGH tech command centre costing £376,000 was set up to help emergency services cope with major disasters. Nuclear Electric, which ran the Heysham power plant, funded the new centre at Lancashire police's Hutton headquarters. Nuclear Electric staff were also housed there to help cope in the event of a nuclear disaster.
