THERE has been a lot of controversy in Blackburn about A-boards and shops' displays on the pavements.
The council has been able to do nothing about it even though it is illegal.
And, now, apart from the illegal obstruction of the pavements, there is illegal parking on Whalley Range as well.
If I park my car on double yellow lines, I will get booked straight away without any question being asked and yet traders on Whalley Range park their vans outside their shops and in one particular case they park their van fully on the pavement as well as displaying fruit and veg there.
When I complained about it to the police, I was told they could not do anything.
