IT is bad enough when people are trying to make a living and Burnley Council is trying and winning with charging for parking all over the town.
But now they are clamping the traders. It is disgusting the way the council is driving people away from town.
They will not be satisfied until everyone has gone out of town to shop, where at least they can park for free and in safety.
I feel sorry for the people who work in Burnley town centre. There, you can stop your car to drop someone off and be told off and told to move on. Yet, if there is something going on at the town hall you can see cars pulling up all the time.
Are they told to move? No, they are not - because they are somebody, or so they think.
It is about time Peter Pike MP and the so-called council got their act together and started thinking of the people of Burnley.
The Council should be trying to get trade into the town, not sending people to other towns.
P TARREN (Mr), Peace Street, Burnley.
